In this series I call ‘Chicago Bronze Age’ I made sculptures based on toys and litter. Why you might ask? It is to explore the idea that the importance of an object could be heightened by how it is rendered.
So by associating these unlikely or humble objects with the historically recognized serious status given bronze objects, these then too could be perceived of as more important, valuable and so, worthy of further consideration.
